Some info about yourself: Currently at university at dmu in leicester. Studying a 3 year history course. Love wow, especially wow lore. I like reading random articles on wowwiki.
Character background: Prior to the third war, Makazian was a simple engineer with no thoughts of ambition and power. This changed, but not in the way one would expect. When Makazian heard that Jaina Proudmoore was leading an expedition to the west, he decided to join up in hopes of adventure. When the expedition reached Kalimdor, Makazian tried his best to gain acceptance amongst the native night elfs. In time he earned their trust and soon his many ingenious inventions made life a lot easier for his newfound home on the shores of Darkshore. Eventually, the night elves of Auberdine granted Makazian a home just off the shore of Auberdine.

Makazian dearly loved his house. He kept it tidy and took good care of it. Until the day Archimonde and his demons began their assault on the night elf lands. One night when Makazian was asleep in his house, a meteor from a nearby infernal storm crashed into Makazian's home, barely missing the small gnome's bed. When Makazian came to, he discovered the hulking form of an infernal blazing before him. Around him he witnessed the charred remains of his beloved home. Red mist descended over his senses, Makazian's anger was great. In his rage he began to channel a large burning flame between his hands. Then with all his might he threw the flame at the infernal. The fire burst through the infernal's central core stone and the behemoth fell silently to the ground. When Makazian's bloodlust had apated he felt envigorated with a strange sense of power and a heightened sense of things. It seemed he had absorbed the Infernal's fel energy! With his home destroyed, Makazian left the night elf lands and began journeying throughout Azeroth, increasing his powers over fire and shadow. In time he learnt how to control the very demons that destroyed his home.

Makazian has now amassed a fair degree of power. He is seeking to employ it for a higher purpose than his own pursuit of power.

In terms of random RP, my idea would be anything involving kidnapping, sacrifice, murder, infiltration and general all-round dastardliness.
